Embraer Pulse Is Part eVTOL, Part Self-Driving Car
It’s a plane! It’s a car. It’s Pulse – both at once.
Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer is taking a different flight path for the future. Its “Pulse” is designed to be an eVTOL air taxi and a self-driving car.
The concept calls for a smart cabin that attaches to an autonomous eVTOL and then detaches and reattaches to an autonomous automobile chassis.
The idea is to simplify and speed up the process of getting from home to vertiport and from vertiport to your destination on the other end of your intraurban journey.
Inspired by 1938’s Buick Y-Job, the very Batmobile-looking eVTOL isn’t scheduled for takeoff until 2070 – if then.
